Since a few years,
a new Athens airport, Eleftherios Venizelos international airport,
has been built 21 kilometres from Athens's town centre, in the district
of Spata. This is where all the flights from every country arrive.
From there, it is easy to join the centre of the city by bus (there
is a special express bus 24 hours a day) or taxis.
Many flights for the rest of Greece and some islands are available
every day.
